Legacy Adventure Park is owned and operated by Rick Rudie and John LaFlamboy, and is managed by Zombie Army Productions, which has been producing haunted houses (Statesville Haunted Prison and HellsGate Haunted House) and producing films (“The Moleman of Belmont Avenue” and “The Adventures of Kitty Zombie”) for the past 20 years in the Chicagoland area. Our passion for creating unique & exciting entertainment led us to the groundbreaking Live Action Gaming™ and laser tag world. We bring experience telling stories and creating worlds to every event we produce, thus providing our customers with more than a just a party or sports outing - we create an adventure.
From 2014-2016, Legacy Adventure Park was Legacy Paintball and Airsoft Park, co-owned/operated by Rick Rudie, Lee Mauney and Paul Ciesiun.
With the closing of CPX, Illinois’ favorite paintball park, many players across the tri-state area are scrambling to find a new home to play. Here at Legacy Adventure Park, we feel your pain. Many of our team were not just fans of CPX, we were customers. So, we felt it best to purchase the iconic field scenery (the post-apocalyptic buses, elements of Bedlam, vehicles from Armageddon and hundreds of other cool field elements that we grew to love while playing there) and move it to the brand new fields at Legacy Adventure Park. We are not only incorporating the field elements that you knew from CPX and Challenge Park onto our fields; we are building an entire field as a tribute to those that came before us and paved the way for the entire industry.
Even though CPX has closed its doors in Joliet, Legacy Adventure Park is just beginning a long-lasting relationship with the owners, Paul and Mike, as well as the crew that worked those fields. You will see a lot of those familiar CPX faces at Legacy Adventure Park, as we are hiring several of their staff and preparing our park to host CPX events and big games some day in the future.
Our connection to CPX doesn’t stop with the staff. We understand that a lot of players have unused memberships, Gold Passes, Silver Passes and gift certificates; Legacy will honor all of those old CPX passes and allow them to be traded in for new Legacy passes*!
So we may have lost our favorite place to play, and some friends may have moved on... but Legacy Adventure Park will keep the games alive, continue to innovate this industry and do our best to fill the shoes of legends and honor the legacy of CPX.
